Thailand has received its first batch of COVID-19 vaccines. 200,000 doses have arrived from China's Sinovac. The country is awaiting for more from AstraZeneca. Thailand is set to begin vaccinations this week. Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha will be among the first to receive the jab, alongside frontline medical workers. The authorities are hoping to immunise one million of its most vulnerable people by May. There are also plans to inoculate at least half of its population by end-2021.
