Here is how to copy and paste audio in Reaper. It's easy and fast, but not really that intuitive. Also, there are few things that can mess you up if are not careful, such as trying to select a section by dragging on the audio item (don't do that - it just moves the item), and the difference between "copy item" and "copy selected area of item." Knowing how to do this will be very helpful for things like patching mistakes in music tracks, or even building entire songs based on just one measure.
