It’s been a year of controversy and conflict for X, the social media site formerly known as Twitter, since Elon Musk first bought and took over the platform. A new film from FRONTLINE traces Musk’s history with Twitter that led him to drop around $44 billion on the platform, and the fallout of the many changes he’s made since. The documentary is called “Elon Musk’s Twitter Takeover.” Its director and correspondent, James Jacoby, joined Crystal Haynes.
Cambridge NAACP leader reacts to “justified” ruling in police killing of Sayed Faisal
The Cambridge police officer who shot and killed 20 year-old Sayed Faisal was justified, according to the results of an independent judicial investigation. The decision has done little to assuage outrage in the community, and furthers questions about how police officers respond to emergency calls that involve people in the middle of a mental health crisis. To discuss, Crystal was joined by the former mayor of Cambridge Ken Reeves, now the president of the city’s chapter of the NAACP, and Dr. Gregg Bloche, a professor of health law, policy and ethics at Georgetown University.
