STORYLINE
The largest flag in the world, with the size of two football stadiums, was presented on Sunday morning in Israel, at the historic site of Masada, near the Dead Sea.
Representatives of the Guinness World Records measured the flag and will declared it the "largest flag in the world".
"The flag currently is 18.843 thousands metres," Andria Banfi, Guinness World Record manager said.
She added that the previous record was 17 thousand metres.
The donor of the flag is a Philippine businesswoman Grace Galindez Gupana.
She attended the ceremony of displaying Israeli and Philippine flags to mark 50 years of friendly relations between both countries.
Dozens of local young people and Philippine resident were helping to spread the flags.
It took 3 weeks and 6 professional sewers to sew the flag, with 40 volunteers helping.
