Online meetings through Zoom Monday evenings during lockdown at 6:30pm
The class usually meets every Monday evening during term time at 6.30pm and is for members of The Buddhist Society only.
Those attending are encouraged to arrive shortly after 6 p.m. to meet with the teacher and ask questions, etc.
The class is led by Nick Carroll, Wendy Orr and Martin Evans, experienced lay teachers associated with Amaravati, under the auspices of senior nuns from the Thai Forest tradition of Ajahn Chah. The main focus of the classes will be an exploration of the Theravada teachings with particular emphasis on their application in daily life. There will be opportunities for formal meditation (with instruction), determining the Five Precepts, and a short talk and/or questions and discussion.
