The Punic Wars were a gargantuan conflict fought between the two great powers of the Mediterranean world. On one end was the Roman Republic that was emerging in central Italy. On the other side was the sea faring power, Carthage that had already been well established in North Africa. They would unleash vast armies led by some of the greatest generals of history. The fate of Western Civilization hung in the balance.
