Spain is a very diverse country which means you have a lot of things to see. One of those is the Asturias area which is very green and is especially famous for its cider. We chose to stay in the city of Gijon and visit the surrounding area.
I was surprised by Gijon because it’s a very beautiful place to visit and take photographs, while not being a popular destination. Gijon has a great architecture in the city center but also really interesting cliffs on the seashore. You also have a lot of nice restaurants you can go to; we ate an amazing chicken by the beach.
The weather is a bit gloomy but that doesn’t stop Spaniards to be happy or enjoy the sea while doing surf or other water sports.
Overall, Gijon is a must see while in the North of Spain!
