In this thrilling Day 1 recap of the Bassmaster Elite Series on the St. Lawrence River, I made a gutsy decision to risk it all with a 280-mile round trip to Lake Ontario in search of giant smallmouth bass. Coming off an intense week of bass fishing at Lake Champlain, the pressure was on to deliver a big performance and keep my dream of qualifying for the Bassmaster Classic alive.
Using forward-facing sonar (FFS) and Livescope, I locked in on key areas in one of the most challenging yet rewarding tournament bass fishing venues on the planet. From navigating rough water to battling the clock and the competition, this was a day packed with risks, rewards, and everything in between.
Did the gamble pay off? Join me as I push the limits and chase success in back-to-back tournaments on two legendary fisheries!
