Former Liberal advisor David Gazard says there is “obviously a sense of sadness or disappointment over the result” for former prime minister Scott Morrison.
“But I do think the demands of modern government are ever-increasing,” he told Sky News Australia.
“I’d say you’d pack in more per day now than prime ministers had faced previously.
“I think there’s a sense of achievement about coming through the global pandemic (and) leaving the country in relatively good shape.”
