The Hurtwood 50k is an ultra-marathon through the Surrey Hills and forests. With the course being an out and back with a small loop at the end of the 'out' section, runners are able to enjoy the sights and sounds of Leith Hill, Holmbury Hill and Pitch Hill in some of the most picturesque woodlands in the South East.
I’d heard a lot of good things about the Hurtwood 50k. Being just over the marathon distance, at roughly 31.6 miles, this is on the lower end of the ultra-marathon distance spectrum so would suit some recreational and/or road runners looking to try an ultra event.
