Sire: The Heartbreaker son Harley VDL is one of the most prominent stallions of VDL Stud. The ‘Preferent’ awarded Grand Prix stallion is known for passing on scope, reflexes and fantastic movements. As a son of Heartbreaker out of the Grand Prix jumping mare Larthago – a daughter of the Olympic Carthago – Harley VDL has been a great promise for breeding from the very start. With offspring like the two-time World Champion Earley and Grand Prix showjumpers like Charly Chaplin S, Doloris, Elana, Arlando, Davidson and Constable II, Harley VDL definitely is among the best sires of his generation.
Dam: VDL Legodermus PP was bred out of the famous Dermie damline – a renowned Dutch family for many decades. Dam Zadermie produced in addition to Legodermus the successful showjumpers Gigidermie PP, Flydermie PP and Ezadermus PP and is granddam of 1.45m showjumper Holly Dermus PP of Danny Mahon. Zadermie’s granddam Madermie competed herself up to 1.50m level and produced 1.50m showjumper Isodermus PP and 1.45m showjumper Emadermus PP. Furthermore, VDL Legodermus PP is closely related to Grand Prix horses such as Arthos R (Richard Spooner), Zigali P S (Eric Lamaze), Toyrs R Us (Jill Henselwood), Mivenno (Leslie Burr-Howard), Temmie (Jessica Springsteen), A S Bombay (Wout-Jan van der Schans), W Zermie (Zazou Hoffman USA) and Adventure de Kannan (Trevor Breen).
Dam’s sire: Ridden by Dirk Demeersman, Clinton was one of the most striking stallions at the very highest level, finishing in a spectacular 4th place in the Olympic Games of Athens 2004. Producing top breeding stallions like Cornet Obolensky, Eldorado van de Zeshoek TN, Utrillo van de Heffinck, President and Ugano Sitte, Clinton’s influence is still enormous.
Granddam’s sire: Burggraaf was one of the first Landgraf I sons to stand at stud in the Netherlands and has been very influential through the years. He produced close to 150 showjumpers to compete at Grand Prix level and especially through his successful daughters, his influence can still be felt.
