NHS England data shows admissions for coronavirus patients have jumped by as much as 400 per cent in some parts of the country. And hospitalisations have doubled or more in 29 of England's 123 valid trusts. But the proportion of beds occupied by infected people in Sandwell and West Birmingham Hospitals NHS Trust - the worst affected area in the country - is still only 9.25 per cent, with trusts not yet swamped with virus patients.
