We take a walk around the Ladybower Reservoir. The interesting thing about the lake is that in 1940, during the construction of the reservoir, the valley below here was flooded, along with the village. The 10 families who lived in the settlement had to say goodbye to their former home and were forced to move 2 miles away. Even today, the ruins of the former village stand out from under the water during extra dry periods, and remind us of the sacrifice they made to provide drinking water to the residents of the area.
