Six youths from a group calling itself NRM Poor youth have pleaded guilty to charges of being a public nuisance and were each fined 150,000 shillings.
There were charged before Luzira magistrates court.
They were arrested earlier in the day following running battles with the Police as they attempted to hold a marathon in protest against President Yoweri Museveni’s rule.
Plain clothed security personnel intercepted the youth outside the American Embassy gates in Kampala.
They intended to deliver a petition to the addressed to US President Barrack Obama there.
