Have you ever had sambal embe before?
I tried to cook some fried rice with sambal embe, with my mom's guidance. Sambal embe means 'fried sambal' in Balinese, and is one of the most widely-loved condiments on the island, along with sambal matah and bumbu gede.
They offer strong toasted garlic-onion flavors, and you can adjust the amount of chili you put in. They keep well, and always pair with any Balinese dishes deliciously!
