The Pontiac Vibe was more of a utility vehicle/wagon compared to the Toyota Matrix. Many of us carry more than just passengers, and often end up loading up the passenger seat as well. If you do that, the SRS system thinks that there is an unbuckled passenger in the seat and will beep for a good long while to remind you to buckle up your passenger. This little tip will turn the beep off but keep the functionality on (the light will blink though). Thank you to my friend for videoing with a selfie stick and not wacking me in the face.
NOTE:
Make sure you have something heavy enough in the passenger seat when buckling and unbuckling the passenger seat belt (have someone sit in or put something heavy there). Buckling and unbuckling the seat belt will toggle it between b-on and b-off.
