Nicolas Ducote, cofounder of one of Latin America’s top think tanks, discusses concerns for Latin American democracy.
Mounting authoritarianism, populism, and inequalities exposed by COVID-19 are raising alarms about democracy backsliding in Latin America. Further highlighted by challenges with vaccine distribution and economic recovery, the social and material inequalities in the region have been exacerbated by political upheavals. The Council convenes an expert panel as part of the Hart Program Series on Latin America to discuss the state of democracy in Latin America.
Guest Speaker:
• Nicolas Ducoté, Co-Founder, Center for the Implementation of Public Policies for Equity and Growth
