This is a very brief profile of a rural Nepalese village child club member, Nilam Chaudhary. Nilam, aged 16, is President of her Child Friendly Village's Child Club. She and the other club members work to discourage child labor and to motivate all village children to attend school regularly. Backward Society Education (BASE), the organizer of these Child Clubs, has been fighting child labor in Nepal since 1990. The film was shot by Karie Cross, a Peace Fellow sent by The Advocacy Project to volunteer in Nepal during the summer of 2010.
