Feb. 21 on The Story: In August 2021, the family of Vancouver man Mike Beehler received the hard news that he was on life support at the hospital, unconscious and "brain dead." They decided to pull the plug. But Mike was very much alive. In a terrible case of mistaken identity that has never been publicly disclosed, KGW found PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center in Vancouver allowed his family to pull the plug on the wrong man. The family of that man, Mike's roommate David Wells, was never told what had happened regarding their loved one's death — that is, until now.
