Gennadiy Zyuganov, head of the Communist Party of Russia, backed by bodyguards, was present at the latest announcement of results. Grigory Yavlinsky lashed out at the President Boris Yeltsin's government on Monday after the crucial parliamentary elections, and blamed them for the Communists' overwhelming victory in the polls.
