Talk about being in the right place at the right time with this one
Today 60007 Sir Nigel Gresley was working 5Z60 Crewe H.S - March in preparation for upcoming tours on the ECML. For the move we went to catch it at Queensville curve because why not. As it approached round the bend on the slow line, and Avanti West Coast Pendolino came round on the fast line at the same time! It looked like they were racing with the A4 winning. These old girls have still got it!
Same day saw 60532 Blue Peter on a test run from Crewe - Preston, I do hope though that test runs on the Crewe - Coton Hill circuit won't be scrapped, was surprised that they didn't use that route.
