As the weather was absolutely fine for the time of year, I finally got to go and try to climb this epic climb. I started from the south at Saint Etienne de Tinee, which lies at 1100 meters. That meant i had some 26 kms and 1700 altitude meters to gain. I think the average percentage lies around 7%, with definitely the toughest meters to be had in the last kilometer, topping at 15%. Early october 14 degrees at the summit is quite remarkable I would think. Anyway, glad I made it to the top and back :-)
