Robin winter song is a sound that brings an element of cheer to cold, long winter days, some hope of better things to come, and helps make Robin Britain's favourite bird, affectionately known as Robin red breast. European Robin, Erithacus rubecula, is one of the most recognisable birds and the Robin's song is familiar to many people who have a garden. The winter song of Robins is used to defend a winter feeding territory while the same song is used in spring and summer to attract a mate and defend a breeding territory. Every time a vote is held, Robin consistently comes out as Britain's favourite bird time and time again. Robin has one of the most memorable bird songs in Britain.
