Can a below 20k Signature Deluxe II Camper Trailer be an alternative to the much more expensive Expedition style trailers like a Patriot X1-N? A bit over a year ago, I decided to find out. We haven't had a Camper Trailer for two years but noticed that the packing space in the Cruiser was at a premium with four people on the Family Camping Trips. While I love my minimalistic Kitchen set up in the Cruiser, my wife wanted something which does not need to be packed away after every use and afforded more than one burner I also wanted a base camp with sufficient shade and rain cover.
After looking at the Patriot and Drifta (now defunct) Expedition style trailers, I realised that for family holidays I did not want to fork out over 40k for a trailer for 5-6 uses a year.
So I looked around and found the Signature Deluxe II, a trailer that is imported from China, but the final assembly and fit-out is done in Australia.
My goal was to have a Patriot Style trailer with similar functionality but significantly reduced cost. Watch the video and see if I succeeded in my eyes.
