Tesla's Backup Gateway is a device that allows your home to disconnect from the grid during a power outage so that you can use your Tesla Powerwalls, combined with your solar panels, to power your home during an outage.

The newest version of Tesla's Backup Gateway includes a huge aesthetic upgrade to match the look and feel of Powerwall, enhanced communications capability, and the ability to terminate batteries and inverters directly into the Backup Gateway by installing breakers and busbars inside the Backup Gateway.
