KwaZulu-Natal, November 15 -- Construction of a long-awaited bridge is underway in Msinga, KwaZulu-Natal.
Residents say they are ecstatic about the news, as school children and pensioners have been swimming across the Tugela River daily to avoid a 12 kilometre walk. The pedestrian bridge is expected to be completed early next year.
