The goal of an 'eyelid lift’ or upper blepharoplasty is to improve the appearance of the eyes by removing excess skin to correct wrinkles and excess skin that occurs as we age. For this patient and some blepharoplasty cases, a conservative amount of additional tissue including fat and muscle is also removed to reduce an overall puffy look that can often make one look more tired or aged.
