About Forestry and Land Scotland
We’re a Scottish Government agency with the important job of looking after something incredibly valuable to the people of Scotland and its visitors – Scotland’s national forests and land. Many people think our work is timber production. That’s true – but it's only part of the story. We also develop renewable energy schemes, create and maintain trails and visitor facilities and conserve habitats, wildlife and archaeological treasures.
