Earlier, Kerry was in Saudi Arabia pushing forward a peace plan for Yemen.
He has called for a unity government for the fractured country.
Kerry met representatives from the UK and Gulf countries.
At least 6500 people - half of them civilians - have died in the last year and a half of fighting.
