In July 2019 Hero School hosted participants for our one month Green Building Academy. During this time we built an off grid earthquake resistant tire home for a local family ready to live sustainably in San Juan Comalapa, Guatemala.

WHAT MAKES OUR ACADEMY UNIQUE?
-You will dive deep into green building and design topics (as taught by expert instructors).
-You will contribute to Long Way Home’s efforts to make healthy and resilient housing accessible to low-resourced and climate-stressed communities.
-You will be learning, building, and living in the highland town of San Juan Comalapa, Guatemala with access to top Guatemalan destinations like Lake Atitlán and Antigua for weekend excursions.
