A quick demonstration of how the MFJ-1708B-SDR (MFJ-1708B-SDRS) switch works with an amateur radio HF transceiver (Yaesu FT-891) and an SDR receiver. With this switch you can use the same antenna with both the transceiver and your SDR receiver. Upon going to transmit (TX), the switch will automatically disconnect the antenna line to the SDR to prevent damage. This allows you to use the SDR as a panadapter presenting you with a waterfall display of the whole band or use the wide-band receiver for CW Skimmer. It can also be useful to turn your transceiver into an amazing dual receive contest or DX radio.
