NATO air strikes destroyed a Serb border post near the border between Kosovo and Albania overnight Sunday.
The post was near the border crossing at Morini, which has seen thousands of Kosovo refugees pass through in the last few weeks.
Meanwhile, U-N-H-C-R workers were preparing aid packages at the border crossing for the next influx of refugees.
Monday morning and the evidence of NATO's overnight airstrikes was clearly visible across the border.
This Serb border post took a direct hit from a NATO missile.
Set against the backdrop of the Kosovo hills, there was clearly little left of the post.
It was testament to NATO's promise to intensify its campaign in Kosovo.
At the nearby Morini border crossing, it was unusually quiet on Monday morning.
There was little sign of the refugees who have poured through here in their thousands since the NATO campaign started in March.
Since then, Serb forces have stepped up their policy of ethnic cleansing in the Kosovo region expelling ethnic-Albanians from their towns and villages.
Aid workers were preparing for the next batch of refugees to arrive in Albania.
U-N-H-C-R workers received a new load of aid packages.
These packs are given to refugees as they cross the border.
So far some 600-thousand refugees have fled Kosovo to the surrounding nations.
With many thousands still displaced within Kosovo, the flow of refugees is likely to continue for some time yet.
