Be warned though that this mod is banned on mod servers and won’t work. It is great for AFK fishing in Minecraft single player though. So, without anymore delay, here his how to download and instal the Autofish mod in Minecraft 1.17.1!

The first step of getting the AFK fishing mod is actually downloading and install the Fabric Mod Loader. The good news is we go over every single step of downloading, installing, and setting up the Fabric mod loader for Minecraft 1.17.1. in the video. After you have the Fabric mod loader, it is time to move on to actually how to download the Autofish mod for 1.17.1. You can find a link to download Autofish in the description above. Once you are there, look at the right-hand sidebar, and scroll down until you see the Minecraft 1.17 section. Under this section, you will see the 1.17.1 version of the AFK Fishing mod. Click the orange download button next to these versions and the Minecraft 1.17.1 fishing bot mod will start downloading after a few seconds. You will need to keep or save the file depending on your browser.

You will need repeat the download process above for the FabricAPI mod. This mod is required for Autofish to work in 1.17.1.

Once you have Autofish downloaded, I can show you how to install Autofish in Minecraft 1.17.1. This is actually pretty easy. You need to press the Windows Key on your keyboard and R at the exact same time. This will open the Run app. In this app, type ‘%appdata%’, and hit enter. Your Roaming folder will open. You will see a .minecraft folder. Open that, and you will see a ‘mods’ folder. If you don’t, create one.

Finally, to install the AFK fishing mod for 1.17.1, just drag-and-drop Autofish and the FabricAPI into this mods folder. It is the simple.

You aren’t completely finished though. You still need to open up the Minecraft launcher, click the arrow next to the play button, select the Fabric profile, and click Play. When you do that, Minecraft 1.17.1 will open up with Autofish mod installed!
