(25 Jul 2017) The water level of Rome's River Tiber was worryingly low on Tuesday due to the drought the city is experiencing.
Meteorologists say spring 2017 was Italy's third driest in some 60 years.
A lack of rain means that Romans may face drastic water rationing measures later this week.
Rome had 26 rainy days in this year's first six months, compared to 88 in the first half of 2016.
