Here is a crazy TRUE story about China Ranch Date Farm in Death Valley. It is one of the most beautiful desert oasis's I've ever seen. One of my new favorite places in Death Valley. It is located right outside Tecopa hot springs in California.
It's a crazy - and sad - story about how this place came to be. And it is somewhat hard to find unless you know where you are going. Most people won't accidentally stumble upon this ranch. If you are in Death Valley be sure and check it out. There is a gift shop that is currently open and they sell dates, date milk shakes and other snacks and souvenirs. It alone, is worth a trip to Death Valley.
