One of the hardest things about life is taking responsibility for our own actions. And in this age of super convenience and ‘one-click, delivery’, how do we make these types of businesses, or any businesses for that matter, accountable for our values, behaviours and what we stand for? Based on his experiences of growing up in a working-class family in the US and having been the founder or co-founder of 2 venture capital-backed start-ups, Steven explains why it’s important when starting a business (or anything for that matter) to treat everyone equally from the very beginning.
Steven Novick, is an adventurer, cancer survivor and eco-preneur. As a result of his cancer diagnosis in 2006 he set out three goals: to become closer to friends and family, finish climbing the Seven Summits (including Everest), and build an affordable, plant-based food business. The last goal was pursued because after he was diagnosed he wanted to change his diet yet found it difficult to find healthy food. Today, he is the founder and CEO of Farmstand, the profit-with-purpose food company, that is on a mission to feed the world plants. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at [ Ссылка ]
