"So, this is our new ThinkPad X1 Fold, it's the next evolution in our foldable PC category. So, as you can see here, you've got a brilliant 16.3-inch OLED panel. That OLED panel is able to fold down into a 12-inch notebook form factor as a whole. So, instead of carrying around a large 16-inch device, I now have this very slim 12-inch that I can basically fit anywhere in your bag. With this new hinge, we actually are able to achieve thinner and narrower bezels. So, definitely enhancing the viewing experience. The stand actually supports the device in both portrait and landscape mode. So, the keyboard, which is a full-size magnetic Bluetooth keyboard, actually magnetically attaches to the top of the screen, pushes everything up to this and you have a fantastic 12-inch full functioning laptop."

"Other than just being really cool, a foldable laptop allows you to fold the screen down into a very small footprint. But then, when you need to open it up, you can open it and have a full 16-inch laptop. So, you think about a typical laptop, a 16-inch laptop is typically pretty heavy and big and people don't really want to have to carry that around. But with this, you get a size of a 12-inch notebook, but you open it up and see that big, brilliant 16-inch screen."

"We launched our first generation ahead of COVID. And I think now that people are going back to the office, it actually is more relevant because people are used to being at home with multiple screens. And when you think about going back and on the road or traveling again, people are going to miss that big screen opportunity. So, with foldable, you can still have that ultraportable size, but open it up to have that big screen to be super productive."

"When you open up the X1, you cannot think anything else, but wow, this is impressive. That giant display, it works really well. The software is actually quite smart to really take advantage of all the real estate. But I do ask myself the question, is this answering a problem the market actually has?"

"The foldable phone segment has been slow to catch on, but this is because the durability of the devices just hasn't been there. It's taken a few generations for the manufacturers actually to make a phone that I would brave to put it into my purse. And I feel like the laptop segment is the same. This year, the durability of the device feels way better than it did before."
