A tour of the open and thriving mall on the Las Vegas Strip located near the Wynn Casino, the Palazzo/ Venetian, Trump Casino and Treasure Island! This mall as 8 anchors and is 95% occupied with 3 levels, a parking garage and food court. Construction began in March, 1979 and opened on Valentines Day, 1981. It was the first major shopping mall on The Strip and third mall in Las Vegas prompting other malls and shopping centers to be constructed on The Vegas Strip. A renovation was done in 1993 and another beginning in 2001 that was completed in 2003 with a new west wing constructed and finished in 2002 and east wing completed the next year. This made the Fashion Square Mall one of the largest in the U.S. and biggest mall in Vegas. There is 46,000 Sq Ft of restaurant space including a California Pizza Kitchen and Johnny Rockets. A new Hello Kitty Cafe opened in 2022 and football Hall of Famer Emmitt will open a restaurant called Emmitt Las Vegas in 2023. There are 8 anchor stores including Macy’s, Nordstrom, Dillard’s, Forever 21, Nieman Marcus, Sak’s Fifth Avenue, Macy’s Men’s Store and Dick’s Sporting Goods. In 2014, the fictional mall West Orange Pavilion was filmed at the mall for scenes for the movie Paul Blart: Mall Cop 2.
