Returning to television after having spent the majority of her career working in film, Ashley Judd leads the cast of the new ABC Studios drama Missing. Judd plays Becca Winstone, a single mother who's on a quest to unravel the mystery behind the disappearance of her son, who vanished while on a summer internship in Italy. Adding a twist to the action, her character is actually a former CIA agent, and now must put her resourcefulness, skill and determination to work to bring her son home alive.
The New Zealand-born actor Cliff Curtis and Adriano Giannini of Italy co-star in the series, which is launching in the U.S. on ABC in midseason 2012. Missing not only features an international cast, but was also filmed in several locations across Europe, including Prague and Istanbul. Disney Media Distribution has already licensed the series to a slew of global broadcasters.
Judd, Curtis and Giannini sat down with World Screen Weekly to discuss the new show and its international appeal.
