Transition happens at all ages, but the first transition is from family centered early intervention services to school based special education preschool programs. In IDEA language, this is the transition from Part C services to Part B. This webinar will explore this transition process and identify the responsibilities of the individual programs, especially the role of the teacher of the visually impaired (TVI) on both sides. Also, while often we think only about the child’s transition from one support model to another, we will specifically explore how to assist families during this transition.
