I had to spend some time on a train today so that means that my favourite travel companion: the OP-Z came along too.

I wrote a couple of patterns as a rode the rails, and decided to jam this one out when I got home. Interestingly (for me, anyway) I did have to adjust the pattern a little bit to make it a little easier to structure a jam around; what was enjoyable to nod along to on the train was a little harder to tame then the camera was rolling.

I also finally felt that I'd found a vibe with the tape track that I like. Cuckoo always makes it seem so effortless, but when I try to use it like him, it always sounds so messy. Here I've effected the tape a lot in terms of filtering and delay/reverb sends, as well as pitching it up - it feels like a bit more of an instrument to me here, and less like an effect; I'm going to force myself to explore this side of it some more I think.
