The HBO Max APA Visionaries Short Film Competition is dedicated to showcasing emerging Asian Pacific American directors with unique perspectives of the APA experience. For the 2022 HBO Max APA Visionaries competition, films should explore the theme Power of Love.

Three winning films will be awarded a cash prize and make their premiere at the Los Angeles Asian Pacific Film Festival in May 2022 and offered the opportunity to license their film to premiere exclusively on HBO platforms (including HBO Max) starting May 2022. The deadline for entries is March 1, 2022.
