HELLO, I AM COUNCILMEMBER FRED DEMORO OF DISTRICT 4 AND I AM HERE TO HIGHLIGHT A FEW OF THE ACTION ITEMS FOR THE CITY COUNCIL MEETING ON TUESDAY, OCTOBER 17 AT 6 P.M. IN CITY HALL.
CITY COUNCIL WILL ISSUE A PROCLAMATION DECLARING OCTOBER AS COMMUNITY PLANNING MONTH, TO RECOGNIZE THE MANY VALUABLE CONTRIBUTIONS MADE BY PROFESSIONAL COMMUNITY AND REGIONAL PLANNERS.
THE PLANNING COMMISSION WILL BE JOINING THE CITY COUNCIL FOR A JOINT SESSION. A PRESENTATION FROM THE CITY’S DEVELOPMENT SERVICES DEPARTMENT WILL DISCUSS THE ITS ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES RELATED TO THE PRELIMINARY DEVELOPMENT PROCESS AND ZONING CRITERIA.
FOLLOWING THE JOINT SESSION, LEE’S SUMMIT ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT COUNCIL BOARD OF DIRECTORS AND THE CITY COUNCIL WILL DISCUSS THE ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT ORGANIZATION RECOMMENDATIONS.
