Synopsis
Muqabla (1993), meaning "confrontation" in Hindi, is a high-octane action drama that explores the complexities of family loyalty and moral dilemmas. Set against the backdrop of Mumbai's bustling underworld, the film follows the story of Suraj (Govinda) and Deepak (Aditya Pancholi), two honest brothers who become police officers.
Despite their shared upbringing instilled with strong values by their father (Satyendra Kapoor), the brothers find themselves on opposing sides of the law. Suraj, a dedicated and upright Havaldar, is determined to uphold justice. Deepak, a Traffic Constable, gets entangled with a corrupt businessman, Narendra Khanna (Shakti Kapoor), blurring the lines between duty and loyalty.
When Suraj arrests Khanna for a murder, Deepak is pressured to testify on his behalf. The conflict intensifies as Suraj uncovers Khanna's web of crime and Deepak struggles with his conscience. Adding another layer of complexity, Suraj falls in love with Karishma (Karisma Kapoor), a woman seeking justice for her husband's murder at the hands of Khanna's goons.
