Last time Part P was reviewed the select committee gave the electrical industry a great amount of respect and identified numerous areas of risk with the existing Part P structure.
Unfortunatley all of this was in vain as the minister chose to throw out all of the committee advise and listen to his own advisers within Building Control DCLG.
Were there exchanges between the CPS and the advisers to the Minister whilst Part P was STILL under review?
"Your officials are going round the scheme operators at present and telling them all not to worry. The status quo is going to be retained because the committee recommendations really aren't going to be taken into account or taken very seriously".
