Vince Cockeram and the PRR Beta Track Team have done it again! Over 17 years after the Microsoft publishing in Train Simulator, this route has been evolving. It's still going strong as the agile and detailed route now drops your modern computer's framerate to 28FPS, using a gaming architecture created in 2002!
Version 2 is a fix to improve the scenery around Philadelphia, New York, and Washington. The NEC has been assigned speed limits and the signaling has been purged for errors. Zoo interlocking has recieved a reality facelift.
In this video I will test drive the New York City to Washington segment, commenting on my thoughts and giving my feedback. The train is Northeast Regional 111, hauled by an AEM-7 with a fantastic sound upgrade but really problematic brakes.
