A coalition of 12 nations will deliver 120 to 140 Western tanks to Ukraine in the "first wave" of deliveries, according to foreign minister Dmytro Kuleba. This month, as Moscow stepped up its efforts to win small-scale gains in eastern Ukraine, Kyiv was able to get commitments from the West to provide main battle tanks to help thwart an invasion.
