A day tour to Garh Jungle Maharshi Medhashram to visit the ancient temple premises (Garh) where according to Hindu mythology King Surath performed the first Durga Puja. Surath established Tridebi's temple in this jungle area, i.e. Temple of Mahakali, Mahasaraswati and Mahalakshmi. The Garh Jungle Medhashram is located in Ilambazar-Durgapur forest area which is located next to the Ajay river in Paschim Bardhaman of West Bengal. If you are looking for a place away from the hustle and bustle of the city, It is quiet and serene from journey to destination and then loads of trees on side which would already give you the appeal of a forest.
