Coming to the cracks on the heels, it is mainly because of the thickness on the skin there, but sometimes people have unusually very thick layer of dead skin there and that usually swells and that shrinks when we are expose to water. What happens is when we are exposed to water, the skin absorbs water and it swells and when the skin becomes dry, it swells. So during this process, there is a ballooning and shrinking ad sometimes this thick skin gives way and when this develops we develop cracks on the feet. So one simple thing to do is keep the skin hydrated, use lot of moisturizers. Use a closed foot wear, use a simple shoes even at home, keep one separately for the home, second thing is lot of moisturizing and third is try to reduce the abnormally dead skin layer . A thick dead skin layer has to be reduced and that can be done by scrubbing. So once you start applying a thick moisturizer for the feet, the skin becomes soft and immediately after bathing , you can just scrub it lightly and the dead skin goes off. By doing this regularly, you can reduce the cracks in the feet.
