This is the M72 Light Anti-Armor Weapon (LAW).
The M72 is a man-portable, lightweight, direct-fire weapon that can engage targets up to 250 metres away with pinpoint accuracy. The M72A4, M72A5, M72A6, and M72A7 are more modern and upgraded variants of the M72-series LAWs that were created in the 1990s.
The M72 was created for use against the light tanks of the day. The improved launcher is a telescoping structure that incorporates rifle sights and rubber bumpers into the carry sling. The rocket consists of an improved rocket motor capable of carrying various types of warheads to their intended target at high velocity (approximately 650 feet per second). The M72 took the place of the M20's 3.5-inch rocket launcher and anti-tank rifle grenade in American service.
